About me
Sun Hye Chung(Sunny Lee) is a Pianist, Collaborative Pianist and Piano Instructor. After a European tour across Austria and France, she wanted to see more of the world and study the art of piano in more depth. Thus began her journey to the United States. She has recently received her Master’s in Music degree in Piano and Collaborative Performance from Southern Illinois University-Edwardsville(SIUE), and is now extending her sphere of influence in the surrounding regions including St. Louis, MO.
Sun Hye is fluent in solo, chamber, and orchestral music, but is also actively involved with other genres such as musicals, operas, and church music. Some of her most notable accomplishments include an orchestra featuring performance in Vienna, a solo performance in Paris, and most recently the performance of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No.3 mov.1. as a winner of the 2022 SIUE Aria/Concerto Competition.
While working as worship pianist at New Bethel United Methodist Church, main keyboardist for the Summer Repertoire Theater at Blackburn College, and adjunct faculty at SIUE, Community Music School of Webster University, and Edwardsville School District 7, Sun Hye is honing her skills as a solo and collaborative pianist and continues to hold performances as a professional concert pianist.
